It's a typical Michigan dinner, although they remodel it a couple years ago, they didn't change much but the physical appearance. They do breakfast well and a burger and large lettuce salads, but there is nothing innovative or special. If you want a fast and simple meal at a reasonable price, a step up from fast food, this is the place. The wait staff is young and inexperienced. They try, but they also do a fair amount of running around. It's is also heavy on the booths, only a few tables - usually reserved for 6 or more in a group.

Had the special. Turkey burger was raw and cold. Had to send it back. #nosalmonella

We stopped here for a late dinner one night. We tried ordering 4 different things that they were out of before finally landing on some fried type foods. Nothing was fresh, service was slow, bitter, and under par. If you want to wait a long tine for a greasy plate, this is the spot for you.

Boring food, service can be rushed sometimes. The omelets are always kind of on a dry side. I guess I never learn as I keep ordering them. Some other similar style places near my work make wonderful, moist, delicious omelets - not this place. The salads are huge, but that's about it. There's really nothing special about this place, but it's close by and convenient and inexpensive. Don't expect much, just your average breakfast style eatery. Is it bad ? No. Just very average.

This place by far is my grandparents favorite restaurant and to me it's not that bad I've had almost everything on the menu and it's not amazing but it is enough to go back I think my self it's very good but others seem to disagree but think of this my grandma and grandpa before my grandpa passed went here every Saturday for at least 2 years and if 2 years of going to the place every Saturday doesn't make u want to go in and try this place then your missing out.

We decided to try this place out for breakfast Sunday morning as we are new to the area and trying places out. The outside has been redone and looks nice, but the indoor decor hasn't been touched in decades. The service was spotty and the 30 min wait for an omelette and French toast was a little much for me. When our food did arrive my ham and cheese omelette came out with no cheese and somewhat runny eggs on the inside. When our server finally came to check on us and showed her she didn't offer to do anything. Needless to say that was our first and last trip.

Earlier this week, a companion ordered a salad with swiss cheese that she has been getting for years and loves, specifically due to their swiss cheese. This time, it arrived with what can only be described as shredded white cheese. She asked the waitress if they had recently changed swiss cheese and she confirmed they had. In fact, another customer had complained to her the week prior about the same thing. Chicken parm came out with spaghetti and meat sauce even though I am fairly certain the menu said marinara. Found out that Honey Tree bought the restaurant and is making some changes to both staff and food even though menu looks the same...

Look, I lived in this place when I went to High School, in fact in was a hang out in our day. Well the Village was recently redone and the outside look fantastic, but I am warning you the inside had minor upgrades. The reason for this review is I went there with my boys after football practice and I orded the lemon rice soap thinking that I was going to have a hot steaming bowl of that lemon wonder, but as it came to me from my server that had here mind on the boys behind me instead of here customers, it looked like mush, "oatmeal" like texture. Before she could put it down I said I will not eat that.. The food was terrible and the service was shameful. We all work hard for our money all I wanted was some hot food with some service. Sorry just venting. That is my review.. By the way I will never go there ever again.. Eric

Excellent breakfast foods, served at any time of day. Other items on the menu are less desirable but I the breakfast and dessert menu is second only to ihop. So, if you are going here, go for their breakfast foods and their dessert, that is what they are known for.

This is one of the worst family diners i have been to. The waitress walked around with a hoodie and was chewing gum. The wait staff looked like they all needed to take a bath. The wait staff was not friendly. .I had breakfast the hashbrowns tasted like they were left over on the grill, they were very hard. The seating is very cramped. My dinner plate had several chips and the coffee was tasteless.I look for cleanliness, fresh well prepared food and good service at a reasonable price. The only thing they delivered was reasonable prices.

so dissapointed with the service and the food lately. I ordered a chicken salad and my salad was watered down. Ive been coming here for years... Now i'm thinking I have to find a new close quick and good spot to eat. Like the other reviewer said "its the last resort spot"

  • Henry B.

I go here when there is nowhere else to go. It's a last resort for breakfast. It reminds me of Denny's but without the variety. The omelets they make are kind of dingy but it's edible. The service here is kind of slow. Up until recently they didn't take credit card. If you want to flash back to 1970s decor and meh food, this is the spot for you.

I have eaten here a few times , it is part way down the West Bloomfield trail & therefore a convenient place to stop after a Run or Bike ride. On the weekends the wait can sometimes be excessive for what is a very average place to eat. Nothing is awful ,nothing is great. Typical range of breakfast meals & Diner type food but nothing that shouts out. The Service is also a bit spotty sometimes excellent but far to often Harried & unwelcoming,
